Data Deletion
Last updated: 2026-07-01
Effective July 1, 2026
Tree Launcher is built to keep your data with you. This page explains where your data lives and how to delete it.
Where your data is stored
On your device. Everything you create in Tree Launcher — your pages, items, notes, tasks, reminders, links, labels, and settings — is stored locally on your device. It is never uploaded to a Tree Launcher server, and no copy of it is kept elsewhere.
In your own Google Drive (only if you enable backup). If backup is turned on, Tree Launcher saves a copy of your data to a private, app-only folder in your own Google Drive account. That copy lives in your Drive and is not accessible to Tree Launcher.
Tree Launcher does not operate a backend that stores your personal content. Features such as weather, feed search, and AI content generation send only what is needed to fulfill each request, and that data is not retained afterward.
How to delete your data
On your device and in your Drive — you control this directly
- On your device: uninstall Tree Launcher, or go to Android Settings → Apps → Tree Launcher → Storage → Clear data. This permanently removes all locally stored data.
- In your Google Drive: turn off backup and delete the backup from within Tree Launcher's backup settings, or remove it directly from your Google Drive. Tree Launcher's access to your Google account can also be revoked at any time from your Google Account permissions.
Because your personal content never leaves your device or your own Drive, these steps remove essentially all of it.
Third-party services
Tree Launcher uses a small number of third-party services for basic app functionality only — not for advertising and not for cross-app tracking. Tree Launcher does not collect an advertising ID.
- Adapty — manages subscriptions and purchases. You are identified only by a random ID generated on your device — not your name, email, or a device/advertising identifier.
- Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash reports and device diagnostics (no personal content) to find and fix bugs. Crash data is kept only for a limited retention period and is then deleted automatically.
- Firebase Analytics — basic, aggregate usage signals (for example, which screens are opened) to understand how the app is used. No advertising, no ad targeting.
Requesting deletion of third-party data
To request deletion of the data held by these services, email sully@treelauncher.io and include your User ID. The User ID is required to locate and delete the correct records — you can copy it in the app under Settings → About (the "Copy User ID" button).
On receipt, the records associated with that User ID are deleted from Adapty and Firebase Analytics. Firebase Crashlytics does not support deleting individual records; its crash diagnostics contain no personal content and are automatically deleted after a limited retention period.
